We've started the new year off right with a Girl's Nite Out in January. We were all focused on the upcoming holiday - Valentine's Day! What fun crafts we made. Sis made the plastic tablecloth heart wreath, Mom made the canvas bag Valentine's envelope and I made the pink shabby chic cone tree and LOVE hanging out of cardboard coasters.

An AH-HA Moment!
Last night I was changing out the print in one of my frames and an AH-HA moment struck. Let me explain. I have a 16x20 frame which is matted down to an 8x10. I find my printables on the internet and constantly change up the picture to fit the season, time of year or my mood. Until last night the picture frame had glass in the frame, which I have never liked because it creates a glare. So last night I removed the glass - now what to do with that glass?!?!?! Well, when I put the picture frame back together the printable and matte did not fit tight SO I put the glass back on but instead of laying the glass in front I put it behind the matte. By doing this 1. it filled the gap 2. if I ever decide I want the glass back in it is right there with the frame (no more hunting for that piece of glass and wondering if I disposed of it) and 3. no glare I love ah-ha moments!

My Version of Birch Box & Tinker Crate
Well, after searching on line for the perfect gifts for my niece and nephew and NOT finding exactly what I wanted, I set out to create my own versions of Tinker Crate for Ryan and Birch Box for Rebecca. The upside: I'm going to enjoy putting together the goodies as much as they enjoy receiving them, it's a win-win! Their first box goes out today for October 2015.
I chose a latch hook soccer ball kit for Ryan (once completed his mom can make it into a cool pillow for his bed), a package of Squirmies and of course his favorite candy Sour Patch Kids.
Kleenex, Dove deodorant, Clinique Mascara, Baby Lips, Nerds and press on nails complete Rebecca's gift for October 2015.

All About Keshia - August 13, 2015
Kayla and I got together to make bridal shower invitations for Keshia. I love the finished product. For shower favors we thought it would be fun to follow thru with the Fall In Love theme and make all attendees a fall ornament.
I hope Dave and Keshia have a happy marriage and a happy life!

Chalkboard Poster
Chalkboard posters are all the rave right now, especially when chronicling your children's year in review. I thought this would be fun to try and do for my grandson's birthday. I downloaded a chalkboard background first and then went to work in my photo editing program.
And a picture of his cake and cupcakes. Obviously I'm an amateur but it sure was fun putting it together!

Subway Art!?!???!?!?!!?!
Clearly this is a project that scares me to death or at least has always scared me. I've only just begun and I know that Subway Art perfectionists would shudder at my method but it works for me. I have no clear plan, only that I want it to reflect all the words and feelings one might have while sitting on the porch. I am very random in my thoughts, typing out words, applying favorite fonts to those words and placing them on my board where I think they will fit. I will continue to fill in until I have no spaces left and hopefully I'll end up with my very own personalized subway art.
